Play Me a Memory

Opened in 1890, Resurrection Promise Church was one of Detroit's oldest places of worship. Built in the Romanesque revival style, it joined the National Register of Historic Places on Aug. 3, 1982. Despite its status the building was abandoned sometime in the 1990s. Unfortunately it will never be able to fulfill the promise of its name since in May, 2014, the building burnt to the ground.
