Abandoned resort hotel, Dubrovnik, Croatia
On the coast of the Adriatic, less than a half an hour walk from the immensely popular tourist destination that is Dubrovnik's historic old city, lies the remnants of Hotel Belvedere. Opened in 1985, this massive five-star resort had a mere 6 years of business before it closed it's doors in 1991 and sustained heavy damage during the Bosnian war. Since then it has been sitting empty, despite it's prime location and 20 years of peace.
Going into abandoned buildings is rarely safe or legal. I bring as little equipment as possible. The lighting in this photo is all natural. It was just me, my camera and my tripod.
