Welcome to my expanded portfolio for my Midtown Yonge BIA mural proposal

Emergence, aerosol on wood panel, 2021

KJ Bit mural jam, 34 Pelham Road, Toronto. This is my first outdoor mural that I painted under the mentorship of Jieun Kim. Since then it has been my goal to transition into the world of mural painting.

Rock ‘N Roll Fantasy, interactive paint-by-number mural, acrylic on printed digital design, 10.5’ x 7’, 2019

My Midtown-Yonge mural will not be my first interactive, play-based mural experience. I created this paint-by-number mural for the 2019 Wavelength Music and Art Festival and visitors had a blast painting it. Not only did they enjoy participating in the art, as the mural progressed they would discover new whimsical elements.

3-D Sketchbook, aerosol and acrylic on multiple surfaces, Toronto, 2022

My 2022 summer project is to turn this strange abandoned building into my personal mural playhouse. I have permission to be there and to use it to further my mural-painting skills. With the mentorship of several muralist friends (Jieun Kim is featured in some of these photos) my large-scale painting skills will be honed over the course of the season.

Intangible Adorations Caravan, acrylic on canvas, 4’x7’, 2022

This series of four large, interlocking paintings was my latest commission. Painted for a traveling theatrical caravan show the paintings set the stage and bring the play to life.

AdHacks, acrylic on salvaged advertisement, 47” x 68”, ongoing

I intervene with salvaged street advertisements by painting strange creatures directly onto their surfaces. At their most recent exhibit, the 2022 Artist Project, visitors were laughing out loud as they explored my creations.
